  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp seasoning salt
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)
  • 1 tbsp mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and chop the onion and mince the garlic.
  2. Rub seasoning salt generously over the ribs for enhanced flavor.
  3. In a bowl, mix together ketchup, barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, and optional cayenne pepper until smooth.
  4. Layer sliced onions at the bottom of the crockpot and place seasoned ribs on top. Pour sauce evenly over ribs.
