- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (divided)

- 1/2 cup whole milk or cream
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Boil sweet potato cubes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to pot.
- Add brown sugar, 1/4 cup melted butter, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt to the sweet potatoes. Mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, combine chopped pecans with remaining melted butter and a sprinkle of brown sugar for the topping.
- Spread the sweet potato mixture into a greased baking dish and sprinkle the pecan topping evenly over it.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
