  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1 cup medium salsa
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups crushed tortilla chips
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked and drain excess grease. Stir in taco seasoning according to package instructions.
  3. Add salsa and black beans; mix well and simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Layer half the beef mixture in the baking dish, sprinkle with half the cheese, then add a layer of crushed tortilla chips.
  5. Repeat layering with remaining beef mixture, cheese, and top with extra tortilla chips.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Let rest for 10 minutes before garnishing with sour cream and green onions.
