- 2 tsp coarse sea salt (for topping)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast; let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
- Add olive oil, salt, and half the flour; mix until combined. Gradually add remaining flour to form a sticky dough.
- Knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Gently flatten the dough on a greased baking sheet and sprinkle chopped dill pickles evenly over the surface.
- Cover again and let rise for another 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 425°F.
- Drizzle olive oil over the top, sprinkle with coarse sea salt and dried dill weed. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
