  • 4 nori sheets
  • 1 medium cucumber, cut into thin strips
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup crab meat or imitation crab
  • Soy sauce (for dipping)
  • Wasabi and pickled ginger (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Rinse sushi rice under cold water until clear. Cook according to package instructions and let cool slightly before seasoning with rice vinegar.
  2. Prepare fillings by slicing cucumber and avocado; shred crab meat gently.
  3. Set up a bamboo mat and place a sheet of nori shiny side down.
  4. Wet your hands, spread 1 cup of sushi rice on nori, leaving an inch at the top. Layer cucumber, avocado, and crab in the center.
  5. Roll tightly using the bamboo mat, sealing the edge with water.
  6. Slice into 6-8 pieces with a sharp knife dipped in water. Serve with soy sauce.
