  • 4 bone-in chicken thighs (skin-on)
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Sliced scallions (for garnish)
  • Toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and place them in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, crushed garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and water until combined.
  4. Pour half of the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it's well-coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Arrange marinated chicken thighs skin-side up on a lined baking sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Brush on remaining marinade during the last few minutes of baking. Garnish with sliced scallions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
