  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil spray
  • 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Freshly cracked black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel the plantains and cut them into 1 to 1.5-inch chunks.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place plantain chunks in a single layer, spray lightly with olive oil, and air fry for 10 minutes until golden but not fully cooked.
  3. Remove and gently smash each chunk until flattened but intact.
  4. Return the smashed pieces to the air fryer, season with salt, garlic powder, and a light spray of olive oil, then air fry at 400°F (200°C) for an additional 8-10 minutes until crispy.
  5. Drizzle with lime juice and serve immediately.
