Description

  • 1 pound sirloin or flank steak
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha (adjust for spice)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, garlic, honey, and Sriracha to make the marinade.
  2. Tenderize the steak by pounding it to an even thickness.
  3. Place the steak in a resealable bag with the marinade. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (overnight preferred).
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove steak from marinade (reserve some) and sear in batches until browned on all sides (about 3-4 minutes per side).
  5. Add reserved marinade to the skillet and let it simmer until thickened.
  6. Transfer steak bites to a platter, drizzle with glaze if desired, and garnish with green onions.
