- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 cups chopped sweet onions
- 10 whole garlic cloves
- 2 lemons (cut into wedges)
- 2 cups chopped carrots
- 2 cups chopped celery
- 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- Fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, sage) – about 1 cup total
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Remove giblets from the turkey cavity and pat dry with paper towels.
- Rub softened butter all over the turkey, ensuring it gets into every crevice. Season generously with salt and pepper.
