  • 10 ounces large marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Red or pink food coloring (optional)
  • Heart-shaped cookie cutters (optional)

Instructions

  1. Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the marshmallows and stir until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in vanilla extract. Gradually fold in Rice Krispies until fully coated.
  4. If desired, add red or pink food coloring and mix until evenly colored.
  5. Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan, pressing down firmly.
  6. Allow to cool for about 30 minutes before cutting into squares or heart shapes.
