  • 1/2 pound ground pork (or chicken/tofu)
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground meat with minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil until well combined.
  2. If desired, add shredded cabbage to the mixture for added crunch.
  3. Place about one tablespoon of filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper. Wet the edges with water and fold to seal tightly.
  4. Arrange dumplings in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper. Steam over boiling water for about 15 minutes until glossy and firm.
  5. While steaming, prepare your dipping sauce by mixing soy sauce, sesame oil, and chili flakes in a small bowl.
  6. Serve hot with dipping sauce on the side.
