  • 4 oz deli ham, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
  • Pinch black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thick.
  4. Cut into squares, roughly 4×4 inches.
  5. Place a spoonful of ham and cheese on one half of each square; sprinkle with black pepper.
  6. Fold over to create triangles and seal edges with a fork.
  7. Mix egg and water; brush over each pocket for shine.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
