Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 4 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 package (12 oz) round dumpling wrappers
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)
- ½ cup water (for steaming)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, minced garlic, grated ginger, sliced green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix until well combined.
- Take one dumpling wrapper and place about one tablespoon of filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold over, and pinch tightly to seal.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add vegetable oil once hot enough. Ensure it coats the bottom evenly.
- Place potstickers in the pan without overcrowding and fry until golden brown on one side (about 3-4 minutes), then flip carefully.
- Pour in half a cup of water (carefully) and cover immediately with a lid. Steam until cooked through (about 5-7 minutes).
- Remove from heat and let them rest briefly before serving with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
