  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the chicken breasts and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar until combined.
  3. Place the chicken in the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over it, ensuring all pieces are coated.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, drizzle sesame oil over the chicken and stir in sliced green onions.
