  • 1/4 cup pure apple cider
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, cream the butter with brown and granulated sugars until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla extract and apple cider until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, blend softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. On lined baking sheets, scoop dough into balls. Make an indentation in each ball and fill with cream cheese mixture; top with more dough.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool on wire racks before serving.
