  • 9 oz fresh or frozen cheese ravioli
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until smooth.
  3. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in the dish. Layer with ravioli, half the ricotta mixture, and mozzarella.
  4. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients, finishing with marinara sauce and Parmesan on top.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Let cool for 10 minutes before garnishing with basil and serving.
