  • 1 box (3.9 oz) chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  4. Pour batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
  6. For the frosting, beat chocolate pudding mix with heavy cream until thickened and fluffy.
  7. Assemble by layering cake with frosting in between and cover the entire cake with remaining frosting.
